Affirming Sunday Returns Nationwide to Encourage Inclusion and Acceptance for LGBTQIA+ Individuals in Christian Communities
MINNEAPOLIS (PRWEB) May 15, 2023 -- For the second year, Affirming Sunday, a Christian tradition celebrating the intersection of faith and LGBTQIA+ identities, will take place on June 4th. Sponsored by nuFoundation, believr, and Launchpad Partners, this nationwide initiative aims to foster a more inclusive, affirming, and accepting spiritual environment in churches across the country.
Held on the first Sunday of Pride Month, Affirming Sunday encourages churches to embrace both pride and faith by supporting and recognizing the experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals within their communities. This year, churches and church leaders are invited to participate in various activities that demonstrate solidarity and support, such as delivering inclusive sermons, inviting LGBTQIA+ guest speakers, organizing community outreach events, and offering education and resources on LGBTQIA+ issues.
