Jim Tomblinson, formerly Vice President of Operations, has been appointed to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer. In addition to strong leadership skills and technical knowledge, his contributions include a wide range of accomplishments that are a testament to the vision he’s helped to create for Modern Litho. He has often been an early adopter of technology in both software and hardware that have impacted the efficiency and productivity of operations, most recently in partnership with Kodak and Heidelberg.
“Jim has been instrumental in several areas that have helped to propel the company forward including: integrating operations as a result of acquisitions, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and optimizing production practices and workflows,” said Darrell Moore, CEO.
Today, Tomblinson oversees operations among the five production locations consisting of over 350 employees, and advises on new technology investments such as software and equipment purchases. He is a regular panelist and contributor to thought leadership within the industry for Printing United, Heidelberg and Kodak. He will continue to foster strong relationships with vendors as has been his hallmark over his 40 plus year tenure in the printing industry.
