SAN FRANCISCO, March 30, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- AIKON, the market leader in self-sovereign decentralized identity with easy user login, today announced digital media and technology expert Richard D. Titus has been elected AIKON's Chairman of Board. A co-founder of two of the world's largest digital agencies, Razorfish (acquired by Omnicom/Publicis) and Schematic (acquired by WPP), Titus, as he is known in the industry, brings more than two decades of media, deep technology and multi-platform software expertise, with a long track record of driving startup companies to scale success and when appropriate, exit.
Titus has led five organizations from early stage to top market position and acquisition, and has served on numerous board of directors, including the Producers Guild, Videoplaza, Associated Northcliffe (DMGT), Jobsite and iTV platform Teletext, among others. The group won numerous awards under his leadership, including the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Innovations Award for FrameTV and another for their TV user experience, two years running. Titus was named Top 100 Executives by WIRED Magazine in 2017.
Earlier in his career, Titus produced award-winning video game, television and feature film projects, with multiple Emmy Awards and two Sundance Festival selections, including Who Killed the Electric Car?. His work includes senior leadership roles at the BBC where he oversaw the launch of the world's first mobile service, its website and satellite services, DMGT (owner of the Daily Mail), and other organizations. He has been an early-stage investor and advisor in AI, InfoSec, IoT, Quantum Computing, Space, Web 3 and other high-growth transformation technologies.
Currently, Titus serves as a Blockchain Fellow and Senior Advisor at the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL), one of the world's largest global deep science programs that delivers an objectives-based program for massively scalable, seed-stage, science and technology-based companies. CDL has created over $13B in asset value in the past five years with 11 sites and 14 streams. Titus has served on AIKON's Board of Directors since 2020. "His depth of experience, history and vision spans decades. An enormous value for AIKON as we scale our business at this critical inflection point in the industry."
"I immediately recognized the value in AIKON's vision for the future of identity, blockchain infrastructure and its unique approach to solving some of the industry's biggest issues around identity, utility & security," said Titus.
