AMEN Music Artists Serve Dallas Ministry for Individuals Experiencing Homelessness

“This city has shown me so much love, so I always want to show it back. I hope to pour into the community and help people on a broader scale,” said Dante Bowe.

AMEN Music, an urban nondenominational worship music collective under the TRUE Music label, performed a pro bono concert for SoupMobile, a Dallas-based charity providing food and shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness in Dallas. The event occurred on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at SoupMobile's headquarters. Headlining the charity event was Amen Music's GRAMMY-award-winning, multi-platinum-selling artist Dante Bowe, and songstress Tianna.

Bowe and Tianna performed a live concert for close to 100 SoupMobile guests and donated hygiene kits, backpacks, and breakfast to the Dallas homeless community. True Music label printed hymn books to give to attendees that featured several of AMEN Music's original songs, including Hold On, Only One, and Giving Again.

"SoupMobile has fed the homeless in Dallas since 2003. Homeless people are used to being shunned, ignored, and pushed aside. But not this morning, as our homeless friends were blessed with an amazing performance by Dante Bowe and Tianna." David Timothy, Founder of SoupMobile, commented on the event's impact. "The very fact that a GRAMMY-award-winning artist would come and sing for them speaks volumes and tells our homeless friends that someone truly does care for them. Dante and Tianna's performance today went beyond just a great singing performance. They spread the love of Jesus to a homeless population that needs to know they are loved. Some people want to make a difference in this world — but Dante and Tianna are making a difference."

SoupMobile was founded as a Texas faith-based non-profit in 2003 by David Timothy. Known by his patrons as the "SoupMan," David and his team provide more than 250,000 meals to individuals experiencing homelessness and feed needy children in the South Dallas area, where 58% of families live below the poverty line.

"It was heartwarming to see the SoupMobile community unite in worship, song, and fellowship today," commented Peggy Fritz, a Dallas SoupMobile volunteer. "We are so grateful to Dante Bowe, Tianna, and AMEN Music for this special blessing. I serve with SoupMobile because they welcomed me as family. If I can reach my brothers and sisters with a smile or hug, that's God's hand. We all matter, and we are all children of God. My Sunday mornings with my SoupMobile family humble and energize me."

"We're honored to partner with Dante and Tianna, as well as Field and Sabrina Harrison of MINT dentistry." David Timothy, Founder of SoupMobile, commented after the event. "They truly have hearts as big as Texas."

"This city has shown me so much love, so I always want to show it back. I hope to pour into the community and help people on a broader scale," said Dante Bowe.
