35-Year-Old Hometown Staple Zaidy's Deli & Bakery Invites All Coloradans To Join The Grand Reopening Celebration In August 2021
The New Location Features An In-House Bakery, Fresh New Recipes, Home-Smoked Fish, Roasted Meats And Classic, New York Style Jewish Deli Favorites
DENVER, Aug. 10, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Zaidy's Deli & Bakery is hosting a Grand Reopening for the public in a fresh, new location on August 18, 2021. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the doors officially open at 10:00 a.m. for seating. Sparked by the passion for authentic flavors, Max Appel decided to reignite the Denver hometown staple alongside his son Joel Appel and Beth Ginsberg. With original owner Gerard Rudofsky on board, Zaidy's Deli & Bakery is making an exciting comeback, giving Coloradans the chance to experience the comfort and community that comes with home cooking.
"We wanted to bring the heritage of Zaidy's forward in a fresh new way for the next 35 years," says Joel Appel. "It's important to our community so we are giving it a new life in a new location. Zaidy's will continue to be a treasure for everybody who loves delicious Jewish deli food." Additionally, the new space seats over 100 people inside plus outdoor seating on a covered patio. The modern, new home also has plenty of parking.
The location isn't the only new feature coming to Zaidy's. For the first time ever, Zaidy's will have its own in-house bakery so guests can enjoy fresh baked bagels, homemade breads, and delicious pastries. Not only will baked goods be made fresh daily, but the new Zaidy's will be smoking its own salmon and roasting its own meats!
"After we closed, we got some beautiful notes from customers about how they felt about Zaidy's and the food… and it made me feel great because I wanted Zaidy's to be something that the community would really appreciate," says original owner Gerard Rudofsky. With notes and emails continually rushing in every day, Zaidy's is making sure that Coloradans are getting back the delicious recipes they're asking for, including the decadent homemade German chocolate cake, which will be available seasonally during winter.
Over the years the deli has been a mainstay for matzo ball soup, potato latke sandwiches, pastrami, and more Jewish comfort foods. Customer favorites will remain on the menu, with a twist on some of their original recipes. Zaidy's will continue serving the most delicious, classic deli sandwiches such as Reubens, Pastrami, and Corned Beef on rye, and Zaidy's classic latke Reuben! Other new additions to the menu include a classic avocado toast on a homemade bagel, flights of mini bagels, a variety of nutrition-packed salads, specialty cocktails, and other unique new recipes.
With a new take on the classic, deli taste, the revived Zaidy's Deli & Bakery is coming back with a generous offering of carry-out, delivery and catering plus specialty menus around the holidays so you can enjoy Zaidy's at your table or ours. For celebrations and special events, let Zaidy's take care of it as they always have with their delicious and mouth-watering trays, whether it is a birthday, graduation, or a casual Sunday brunch.
"Thousands of people over the 35 years have made life memories at Zaidy's and it was a part of the heritage of the whole city," says Beth Ginsberg. Join the Zaidy's family in bringing community back to Colorado during the Grand Reopening celebration in August!
Zaidy's is located at 600 S. Holly Street, Denver, CO 80246. Zaidy's will be open 7 days a week, from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. To learn more visit zaidysdeli.com, Instagram, or Facebook.
