National Harbor, Maryland (PRWEB) March 21, 2017 -- With nearly 1,500 community colleges in the U.S. and an expected cybersecurity workforce shortage in the millions over the next five years, faculty and staff from these schools are flocking to the Community College Cyber Summit (3CS) to get ahead. But don’t delay, as only 400 seats are available.
Demand is high for well-trained cybersecurity employees, and that’s where 3CS comes into play. This national conference is the only one of its kind tailored to cybersecurity education at community colleges. The fourth annual 3CS is scheduled for June 28 to 30, at Prince George's Community College and National Harbor, Maryland.
By engaging faculty and administrators in hands-on workshops and practical learn-by-doing presentations, 3CS enhances cybersecurity offerings at community colleges, including both academic and workforce development programs. Faculty attracted to this annual conference include those interested in becoming involved in cybersecurity for the first time, those already in cybersecurity but wanting to increase their knowledge, and those wishing to address cybersecurity needs across the national critical infrastructure in sectors such as energy, emergency services, water systems, transportation, and banking services.
This year’s theme is “Strengthening Our Cyber IQ” and follows one of four tracks: new to cybersecurity, experienced in cybersecurity and CAE2Y aspirants, cybersecurity across the curriculum, and student track. A new pre-Summit Job Fair for students and recent graduates is scheduled for the morning of June 28.
Early bird registration ends March 31. For more information or to register, visit my3CS.org
