SimpleCAD Announces a Newly Improved 3D Stretch Program for AutoCAD® Users
Bend, OR (PRWEB) May 23, 2014 -- In AutoCAD®, the 2D stretch command provides a way for a user to an object either reduce or increase the size of a group of objects by using what’s called a crossing window. Any object within the window will stretch according to the distance given by the user.
Erik Z, owner at SimpleCAD, explains: “Users who need to stretch solids, are looking for other alternatives to pushing and pulling solids or selecting grips or pick points. For many the process of manipulating solid objects may feel a little convoluted and unfamiliar. The new 3D stretch routine provides them with a simple solution.”
The new 3D Stretch add-on for AutoCAD® allows the same functionality found within the 2D Stretch command and allows users to select the area in the same way using a crossing window or “fenced” area around and though 3D solids, Polylines and even 3D dimensions to be included in the stretching process.
Features inside new 3D Stretch include:
— Completely keyboard driven
— “3s” command for typical 3d solid stretching
— “3ss” command provided for solids with radius edges
— Can be used it on single or multiple solids at the same time
— AutoCAD® 2000-2015 compatible
A new revision to the 3D stretch command has also been implemented into the routine to allow radius edges to also be included when selecting the solids. For example a rounded solid archway could be elongated using the new command.
Erik further explains “The new 3D STRETCH command can be used to make changes to only parts of drawing and it can save both time and frustration in both moving complex 3D objects and redrawing others.”
A self-running demo is available at SimpleCAD.com where more details about the add-on can be found.
