San Francisco 49ers News: 2013 49ers Tickets are Available Now at 49ers-Tickets.net, Powered by InsideTrackTickets
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) July 24, 2013 -- As the NFL’s offseason is finally coming to an end, fans, players, and coaches are examining players who are ready to start the 2013 season. One player who stands out most is San Francisco’s 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. The now second year star has had one crazy off-season filled with more than just team workouts. Recently he attended training camp for rookies with other quarterbacks, appeared at award shows like the ESPY’s where he won Best Breakthrough Athlete for his 2012 performance, and posed for ESPN’s The Magazine Body Issue. Kaepernick also worked out with teammates in Atlanta and hosted a charity golf tournament. Now that we are just weeks away from the start of the season, Kaepernick will put other things to rest and focus on just football. Reporters that attended a 49ers training this week can attest to that statement by seeing him work out on his own after practice. Also, rookies that have been meeting and training with Kaepernick for the first time are giving out comments on his strength, talent, and athleticism.
Other than the news on Kaepernick’s success, there has also been news on the other side of things. On July 4th, Kaepernick was photographed wearing a Miami Dolphins hat. The photos stirred up a lot of controversy, and fans started questioning the young players’ alliance. Coach Harbaugh knows his quarterback is loyal to his team, and chalks up the situation to being nothing more than a slow time in the media. Wether he did it for attention or not, 49ers fans know Kaepernick is on their side.
Another 49ers player that is constantly in the media spotlight is wide receiver Michael Crabtree. Back in May, Crabtree suffered from a torn Achilles tendon during organized team activities, and had surgery the next day. He is still in the early stages of rehab, but coach Jim Harbaugh is so far satisfied with his recovery. Even with the extreme injury and surgery occurring only a few months ago, the 49ers are still not ruling him out to return at some point this season. Veteran Anquan Boldin will start at one wide receiver spot, while other players compete for the other position through the rest of the off and preseason. Recently, Crabtree has been placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list, meaning the team can use him at some point during the season.
