HowDoIGetGreatLegs.com, the best fitness source for women, had the pleasure to recently interview fat-loss phenom Mike Whitfield, regarding his revolutionary Workout Finishers. Instead of a new-fangled workout or piece of equipment, Mike has used cutting-edge research to devise “mini-workouts” that magnify exponentially the calorie-burning effect of any exercise routine.

Mike’s own story is evidence enough that his techniques work. In this interview, Mike describes hitting a low-point in his life and how he used ultra-short, intense mini-workouts to shed an incredible 105lbs. What's even more impressive is he's kept it off for years.

Since his own personal transformation, Mike has helped thousands of people in-person or through his home-based program.

Mike used findings by Canadian researchers at Queen’s University, whose recent study (Reference: ApplPhysiolNutrMetab. 2012 Sep 20.), revealed how short 4-minute metabolic-conditioning workouts improved aerobic fitness levels (about 7-8%) versus another group performing 30 minutes of cardio over a 4-week period.

What was really surprising though, was that these Workout Finishers-type workouts, also increased muscular endurance in strength exercises like chest presses, leg extensions, sit-ups, and push-ups unlike the 30 minutes of cardio, which had no significant increase in muscular endurance.

Most interesting was that the group performing the 4-minute intense workouts had a greater sense of overall workout enjoyment. Now if you ask a fitness professional like Mike Whitfield, he will tell you that the real key to long-term fitness success is consistency i.e. working out regularly. Take that one step further, if one were to follow a fitness program one actually enjoys, the likelihood they will stick with it for the long-term is that much greater.

Take Mike as a prime example. He’s been able to keep the weight off for over 10 years! If you want to see more of the video interview with Mike Whitfield click here. Mike devised his Workout Finisher program based on this scientific research to allow absolutely anyone to get lean and stay lean.
