My family and I were fans at the first WrestleMania -- Jake the Snake was our idol. To bare his history with our recovery community will help instill perseverance, gratitude and a belief in self.
Battle Creek, MI (PRWEB) August 12, 2014
WWE Superstar Jake “The Snake” Roberts will speak at A Forever Recovery in Battle Creek, MI, August 17, during the treatment facility’s annual alumni picnic.
A Forever Recovery holds the event each year for those who have graduated from the program and are returning to celebrate one another and sobriety.
“My family and I were fans at the first WrestleMania -- Jake the Snake was our idol,” said Executive Director of A Forever Recovery, Pam Anderson. “To bare his history with our recovery community will help instill perseverance, gratitude and a belief in self.”
Roberts, a recent WWE Hall of Fame inductee, has had a well-known battle with drugs and alcohol dating back to his wrestling days, but has been clean and sober nearly two years.
Roberts has dedicated himself to giving back to others who have struggled with -- and are currently struggling with -- the same demons he’s battled throughout his life.
He will speak to the current and former clients, staff and family members in attendance at A Forever Recovery. Graduates will also have the opportunity to share their testimonies of addiction, recovery and sobriety.
About A Forever Recovery
A Forever Recovery program is an open-ended drug and alcohol treatment program that gets clients off to a great start and gives them a solid foundation in recovery they can believe in. Not every treatment methodology works for every client. Some people are very receptive to 12-step principles, whereas others are more comfortable with faith-based treatment. Cognitive approaches have excellent success, whereas others thrive within a more holistic approach. A Forever Recovery allows clients to choose from a wide range of recovery methodologies, coupled with Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), to achieve success rates unmatched in the addiction treatment industry. The bottom line is that there is no single therapeutic approach to recovery that works for everyone…until now. Learn more at http://aforeverrecovery.com/.
