EBSCO Releases Thematic Collection from American Antiquarian Society Historical Periodicals
Ipswich, MA (PRWEB) January 16, 2014 -- EBSCO Information Service (EBSCO) is introducing new collections drawn from American Antiquarian Society (AAS) Historical Periodicals that focus on specific subject areas. The first set of 17 Thematic Collections for AAS Historical Periodicals are now available and a total of 50 of the digital archive collections will be released over the next several months.
The collections of historical periodicals provide rich content detailing American history and culture from the mid-18th century through the late-19th century. The 17 initial collections cover the following areas:

The specialized focus of the collections will allow libraries to meet the needs of both researchers and faculty who have particular areas of interest. Title counts range from 87 in the most highly specialized collection to approximately 300 in the broadest collection.
The American Antiquarian Society is the premier research library documenting the life of America’s people from the Colonial Era through the Civil War and Reconstruction. The Thematic Collections for AAS Historical Periodicals includes digitized images of the pages of American magazines and journals only available from the American Antiquarian Society.
