The Affordable Care Act continues to present unique challenges for business owners thereby increasing the need for HR outsourcing.
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) May 09, 2014
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has placed new requirements on employers, many of which require advanced reporting and calculations. Staff One continues to stay apprised of the constantly changing regulations under the Affordable Care Act. Staff One is excited to announce that there are several reports available through our HR technology platform HRCenter™ that will assist our clients with the complex requirements presented by the Affordable Care Act. These reports provide data and calculations specific to the unique employer-client relationships of Staff One, including:
- Identifying “large” employers
- Determining which employees are eligible for benefits
- Performing affordability calculations (the 9.5% test)
- Identifying full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
- Employee classification analysis to verify your data
- Calculate age banded policies for family rated plans
- Health care tax credit eligibility
“The Affordable Care Act continues to present unique challenges for business owners thereby increasing the need for HR outsourcing,” explained Staff One Business Development Director Donna Meek. “It’s good to know that our technology platform is ahead of the curve, adding reports and features that help keep our clients in compliance without creating additional work.”
Meek is PPACA certified through the National Association of Health Underwriters, and has conducted dozens of seminars, webinars and lunch and learns, helping empower businesses to navigate the Affordable Care Act. Staff One is now scheduling Donna Meek to present in person at various associations, chambers of commerce and other business groups. She is scheduling such sessions to take place starting in June through the end of the year.
“Healthcare reform continues to be a hot topic,” Meek said. “Business owners are concerned about how PPACA will affect them, and they want to do what is best for their businesses and their employees. I have worked with many different types of clients over the years, and I design each interactive presentation to address the issues that are top-of-mind for business leaders right now.”
Meek’s passion for helping small business owners fuels her busy speaking schedule. She has spoken at the TriState HR Conference, NEO OKII Grow, the TASCS Annual Conference, and many other events throughout the Midwest. Meek’s seminar, “Facing ACA Change with Confidence” is an approved CE course in Oklahoma and Tennessee. She has worked with many business groups, including: North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance, Tulsa Family Owned Business Association, Oklahoma City Association of Health Underwriters, and Insurors of Tennessee.
“It’s important for business owners to educate themselves about the issues that are facing them,” said Staff One CEO Mark Sinatra. “Having an expert like Donna at their disposal is a rare opportunity. The training sessions she conducts are relevant, succinct, free of charge, and benefit everyone who attends. I’m glad someone like Donna is stepping up to meet this need for small businesses.”
