Earlier this year, A.J. O’Connor Associates (AJO) joined BioNJ, a vibrant life sciences industry association that represents research-based life science organizations in New Jersey, with over 400 members.
Jonathan Parker, AJO’s Vice President of Business Development & Executive Coach, attended BioNJ’s Annual Gala Dinner in February, an event that attracted over 750 attendees.
In one of the evening’s highlights, Don Wright, a 73 year old cancer survivor shared his moving story of how, almost twelve years ago, he was given five years to live. Since then, Don has run 85 marathons. He entered a clinical trial that gave him access to medication in pill form, allowing him to run during treatment. As Jonathan noted, “There are some really ground breaking therapies being developed here in NJ. BioNJ’s Annual Gala Dinner event was a moving tribute to this work, as well as a celebration of some exciting innovation.”
