Call for Submissions: AMIA Provider Innovation in Informatics (Pi2) Award Competition open to Healthcare Clinicians
BETHESDA, MD (PRWEB) March 31, 2015 -- The annual AMIA Provider Innovation in Informatics (Pi²) Award call for submissions is open and submissions are due April 15.
The Pi² Award recognizes a team’s significant achievement through the innovative application and dissemination of informatics-related solutions, contributing to the improvement of the delivery of healthcare. The winning team will be invited to and honored at the AMIA iHealth Conference in Boston on May 28.
Recognizing that true innovation is a team effort, the award honors teams of healthcare professionals who have demonstrated innovation in the application of clinical informatics. AMIA partnered with SSi-SEARCH to establish the award in 2014 and, based on the quality of submissions and the positive response from the clinical community, decided to make it an annual event.
The 2014 winning team was from Cathay General Hospital in Taipei, which shared how they had reengineered the entire chemotherapy medication process using a mobile device for nurses.
