Act Global is thrilled to offer an elite training pitch to this top football nation, and to be a part of the Brazilian football team’s World Cup headquarters.
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) June 17, 2014
FIFA World Cup contenders have access to world-class synthetic turf pitch, showcased at the Granja Comary Football Complex, headquarters for the Brazilian National Football Team.
Bordered by lofty mountains, and situated at an elevation of 871 meters outside Rio de Janeiro, the site is picturesque. For the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the Brazilian Football Confederation (Confederação Brasileira de Futebol - CBF) spent over US $6.7 million reforming Granja Comary, as it will be hosting the national team during the tournament.
The synthetic turf pitch was built as part of a FIFA Goal Project, which enables member associations to fulfill developments which advance football in their countries. Act Global was selected because of their high-quality artificial turf standards and status as a FIFA Preferred Producer for Football Turf. The pitch was certified as a FIFA Recommended Two Star, which meets the most stringent requirements and specific needs of elite football. To be awarded this mark, pitches are required to undergo two phases of rigorous laboratory and field testing, for properties such as deformation, shock absorption, energy restitution, ball roll, ball rebound, traction, torsion and aesthetics.
“Act Global is thrilled to offer an elite training pitch to this top football nation, and to be a part of the Brazilian football team’s World Cup headquarters,” said Chris Clapham, director of Act Global. “We are pleased FIFA is continuing to invest in the FIFA Goal Project program to bring the highest quality artificial turf fields to all parts of the world.”
Over the last seven years, Act Global has been awarded a total of 15 FIFA Goal Projects in Africa, Asia and South America, and has installed more than 100 FIFA Certified fields in total around the world.
