Local Chelmsford, MA Environmental Company Featured in PBS’s This Old House
Chelmsford, MA (PRWEB) October 05, 2016 -- When the Emmy Award-winning series took on the renovation and expansion of a Boston-area 1909 Arts & Crafts style house, they called on Alpine Environmental’s 25 years of experience to help tackle the environmental issues affecting the property. As with many older homes undergoing renovations, lead painted plaster walls and trim needed to be carefully removed following EPA RRP lead-safe work practices to protect both the home and the other contractors working on the job from lead dust contamination. The homeowners also have a young child which added to the necessity of safely removing the lead paint, since the health effects of lead are much more severe in young children. In recent years, Alpine has previously filmed four other episodes with This Old House involving both lead paint and mold removal and was happy to participate in yet another project with them.
The home renovation started this spring and will be completed this fall. The episode highlighting Alpine’s work, This Old House 3602: A New Look, Inside and Out will be airing October 6th on PBS (check your local listings for times). To learn more about Alpine Environmental, check out their website
