Amy Fisher’s new book gives account of sexual abuse
LAKE CITY, Fla. (PRWEB) February 26, 2014 -- Inspired by the real-life story of a sex abuse victim, author Amy Fisher’s new book “The Monster that Controlled My Life and Stole My Innocence” (published by AuthorHouse) tells the story of a young girl whose mother allowed the molestation to continue.
Anne Hill is a 19-year-old girl living with her mother, Maggie, and one sister. When Maggie meets a man named Donny Harrison, it only takes a few short days for her to fall in love with him.
What Maggie doesn’t know is Donny is a cold-blooded, manipulative man with intentions to take advantage of Anne.
The story is a gripping account of the victim’s suffering, made even more grotesque when it is revealed Maggie did not intervene after Anne made the abuse known.
An excerpt from “The Monster that Controlled My Life and Stole My Innocence”:
“We were told what to say and how to think, when we were around him just to please our mother because he could not do any wrong in her eye’s, when I tried to tell her the way he looked at us or the way he made us feel, she screamed at me and told me to keep my mouth shut. She did not want to hear about such things. That’s when I realized that my own mother would not protect me or believe in me, so I knew that I was on my own.”
