Jacksonville Eminent Domain Attorney to Participate in Property Rights Conference
Jacksonville, Florida (PRWEB) October 01, 2013 -- The Owners’ Counsel of America is pleased to announce that Jacksonville-based eminent domain and property rights attorney, Andrew Prince Brigham, has been invited to speak at the 10th Annual Brigham-Kanner Property Rights Conference in Williamsburg, Virginia, October 17-18, 2013. Mr. Brigham, principal attorney at Brigham Property Rights Law Firm, PLLC and the Florida member of Owners’ Counsel of America, will take part in a roundtable discussion regarding the extent to which government should restrain from interfering with private property rights.
“It is a great honor to participate in the Brigham-Kanner Conference on its tenth anniversary,” said Brigham, a third-generation trial lawyer and the son of Toby Prince Brigham, for whom this annual symposium is named. The Brigham-Kanner Property Rights Conference is sponsored by the William & Mary Law School Property Rights Project. The annual conference and prize are named in recognition of eminent domain attorneys and property rights advocates, Toby Prince Brigham, a Florida attorney, and Gideon Kanner, a California attorney and Loyola Law School Professor Emeritus, for their lifetime contributions to the protection of private property rights.
Since 2004, the Property Rights Project has recognized the outstanding contributions of a single individual to the field of property rights scholarship and awarded the Brigham-Kanner Property Rights Prize. On October 17, the Property Rights Project will present the 2013 Brigham-Kanner Property Rights Prize to the tenth celebrated scholar, Thomas W. Merrill, the Charles Evans Hughes Professor at Columbia Law School.
