Archadeck of Nashville Receives Archadeck Outdoor Living’s Design Excellence Award in the Porches and Rooms Category
Richmond, VA (PRWEB) May 10, 2016 -- Russell Henderson, owner of the Archadeck of Nashville location in Nashville, Tennessee was awarded the Archadeck Outdoor Living’s Design Excellence award in the Porches and Rooms category in the first quarter Design Excellence contest. The contest recognizes design excellence in several project categories among its franchise locations each quarter.
The Archadeck Design Excellence Award is awarded in different project categories each quarter including decking projects, hardscape or patio projects and porch and room projects. The quarterly winners of those categories are then entered to win the Design Excellence Award Grand Prize, which is determined by a collective vote by the Archadeck franchisee network at the end of the current calendar year.

Mr. Henderson’s winning porches and rooms project was an extensive front porch expansion that provides the clients with a covered area to enjoy their spectacular hillside view while enhancing the access and presentation of the front of the middle Tennessee farmhouse. The gable roof with cathedral ceiling was finished with plybead and an open crows foot gable end to reflect the view. The vinyl soffit and fascia match the existing homes details and the stairs off the front flare reflect the Southern charm of the area. The decking and rail structure are long lasting pressure Southern Yellow Pine and black powder coated pickets with matching post cap lights were incorporated into the rail design to minimize any obstruction of the great view.
“The Piotrowski project was a dramatic change for this farm house overlooking 38 acres in this middle Tennessee community,” explained Russell Henderson. “The client wanted an intimate porch on the front of the house with several areas of uncovered space. We finished off the porch with a set of flared stairs to give the home a bit of southern charm. The sizable deck added adjacent to the porch covered with an Archadeck pergola allows the homeowners to enjoy the open air feel of a deck while still enjoying some overhead protection from the mid-day sun.”
