Heritage Woods of Batavia Affordable Assisted Living Summer Picnic to Feature Bluegrass Music
Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) July 06, 2013 -- Heritage Woods of Batavia, a BMA affordable assisted living community in Kane County, Illinois, is hosting its annual Summer Picnic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 20.
The community, which is located at 1079 E. Wilson St., in Batavia, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.
"This year, our picnic will have a southern theme, with entertainment by a live bluegrass band," says Jennifer Hanke, Director of Marketing for Heritage Woods of Batavia.
"There will be activities for those of all ages, including a travelling petting zoo, dunk tank and water sports," says Hanke. "We will be serving pulled barbecue pork and watermelon along with other delicious summer foods and refreshing beverages."
The picnic is open to the public, and there is no charge to attend.
Please RSVP by Friday, July 12. To make your reservation or for more information, call Hanke at 630-406-9440.
The Heritage Woods of Batavia affordable assisted living community combines residential apartment-home living with the availability of personal assistance, help with medications, and a variety of convenience and support services.
"We provide older adults with a wonderful alternative to the nursing home or struggling alone at home," says Hanke.
Residents live in private apartments that they furnish and decorate to their taste. Each of the apartments includes a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning, and an emergency alert system.
Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Three meals a day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.
"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in activities and special programs," says Hanke.
The community is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and managed by BMA Management, of Bradley, Illinois.
