Heritage Woods of Batavia Affordable Assisted Living Offers Balance Screenings
Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) August 26, 2013 -- Heritage Woods of Batavia, a BMA affordable assisted living community, invites area residents to stop by for balance screenings from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sept. 16.
The community, which is located at 1079 E. Wilson St. in Batavia, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.
“Find out if you are safely balancing when you stand, walk and get up from a chair,” said Heritage Woods Director of Marketing Jennifer Hanke.
The screenings will be conducted by Max Health Rehab. Heritage Woods of Batavia has worked with the physical therapy company for more than a decade, and this screening coincides with Fall Prevention Month.

The Heritage Woods of Batavia affordable assisted living community combines residential apartment-home living with the availability of personal assistance, help with medications, and a variety of convenience and support services.
"We provide older adults with a wonderful alternative to the nursing home or struggling alone at home," says Hanke.
Residents live in private apartments that they furnish and decorate to their taste. Each of the apartments includes a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning, and an emergency alert system.
Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.
"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in activities and special programs," says Hanke.
The community is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and managed by BMA Management, of Bradley, Illinois.
BMA Management is the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.
