BMA Management Memory Care Community Earns Deficiency-Free Survey from State Department
Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) August 10, 2013 -- White Oaks at Heritage Woods of South Elgin – a BMA affordable assisted living and memory care community – has been awarded a deficiency-free survey by the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS).
The community, which is located at 704 N. McLean Blvd. in South Elgin, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.
HFS is responsible for regulating White Oaks and other communities that operate through the Illinois Supportive Living Program.
During the annual survey process, representatives from the state department visited White Oaks at Heritage Woods of South Elgin to conduct a detailed review of all aspects of the community's operations, including the physical plant, nursing and ancillary services, maintenance, food service, and disaster preparedness. The survey process also included interviews with residents.
White Oaks received the recognition after earning the deficiency-free score on its 2013 Healthcare and Family Services survey. The perfect survey results reflect efforts the community makes to meet industry standards and regulations while continuing to put residents first.
"Our emphasis at White Oaks is on helping residents maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible by providing love, compassion and dignity in addition to the care and assistance they need," says Andrea Lillie, Director of Marketing for White Oaks.
“As an affordable assisted living community," she says, "We are proud of our ability to continue serving older adults of all incomes with the best possible assistance to ensure they live the best life possible in the comfort of their own apartment.”
Lillie described White Oaks as a great alternative to nursing home care or to struggling alone at home for older adults who need some assistance to maintain their independence, but do not require skilled nursing home care.
The community features specialized apartments for older adults with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. Personal assistance, help with medications, and a variety of convenience and support services, including meals, housekeeping and laundry, are available.
“Our focus,” says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA Management, “is to provide the residents of White Oaks at Heritage Woods of South Elgin with the love, compassion and dignity they deserve and the help and assistance that they need.”
