Author Solutions, LLC, a Penguin Random House company and the world leader in supported self-publishing services, announced Monday it has entered a media partnership with Paulist Productions, a company dedicated to developing stories at the intersection of faith and culture. Through the relationship, Paulist will regularly review relevant Author Solutions titles for possible film and television adaptations.

“We’re excited to be working with such an established and respected producer who shares the values of many of our authors,” said Author Solutions Director of Media Services Caroline Weiss. “Faith-based stories have always had an audience, and this partnership is a new opportunity to expose the incredible amount of faith-based content within the Author Solutions library to interested producers.”

Founded in 1960, Paulist Productions has worked with notable writers, including Michael Crichton, Rod Serling, Tom Fontana, William Peter Blatty, John Wells, and John Sacret Young, producing film and television projects that have been recognized with five Emmy Awards, the Christopher Award, and the Gabriel Award. The prestigious HUMANITAS Prize for screenwriting was created by Paulist Productions to celebrate writers who affirm human dignity and explore the meaning of life.

“If you start with great ideas and great writers, the possibilities are endless, which is why we think this is an ideal collaboration for Paulist Productions,” commented president of Paulist Productions, Chris Donahue. “Access to Author Solutions self-published titles will enable us to diversify our development as well as bring projects with a built-in audience to our studio and network partners.”
