Baker Electric Solar has redesigned its website -- providing homeowners and businesses a best-in-class educational, actionable and intuitive user experience.

Baker Electric Solar, a full-service solar company and SunPower Elite Dealer, has redesigned bakerelectricsolar.com, offering homeowners and businesses a best-in-class educational, actionable and intuitive user experience.

“This new website is all about providing customers an outstanding experience,” said Baker Electric Solar President Mike Teresso. “We want to ensure that when homeowners and business organizations visit the site they get a full complement of accurate solar information easily delivered in an attractive package. Our customers deserve the essential data required to make smart decisions about solar for their family or organization. Baker is uniquely positioned to provide those facts through our new site.”

The site, built on an open-source Drupal technology platform, is highly scalable. This makes it easy for the Baker team to continually add fresh, relevant content through an intuitive content management system. Drupal also supports smart mobile devices and has enormous flexibility to display content to support advanced SEO strategies.

The site was specifically designed to provide distinctive homeowner and business solar experiences. In addition to understanding cost-saving benefits, the installation process and the federal solar Investment Tax Credit, homeowners and business organizations can quickly request pricing or an assessment of their site. Homeowners can also download a 23-page eBook titled “A Buyer’s Guide to Going Solar” and more. Information about “The Path to Net Zero,” LEED certification and Baker’s Alliance Program can be accessed by business customers. Thanks to the Drupal platform, the Baker Electric Solar site will quickly evolve with new functionality and content every two to four weeks.

L7 Creative located in Carlsbad, California designed and built the site. L7 Technical Architect, Joel Farris said, “This reimagined website now provides full support of Baker’s mobile tablet and smart phone user base, which now outnumbers its desktop users. Standardizing on Drupal has provided us with a stronger, more dynamic platform on which to grow as we continue to elevate Baker Electric Solar’s digital presence in the coming years. Even now, we are developing additional features which leverage the power of Drupal to deliver dynamic content showcasing its 5000 installation locations, interactive case studies and what we’re calling ‘Baker Rock Stars.’”
