Jeff Pitchell and Texas Flood To Team Up with Johnny A. at StageOne
Fairfield, CT (PRWEB) July 11, 2013 -- Fairfield Theatre Company presents an evening of astonishing music with Jeff Pitchell and Texas Flood, along with special guest guitarist Johnny A, live at StageOne on July 20 at 7:30 p.m.
Pitchell will be bringing his signature fusion of Texas roadhouse blues back to StageOne after years of shredding paint off walls at music clubs in New England and California. He began his singing career at age three and began playing classical piano at age 12 before switching his focus and becoming a highly-revered blues guitarist. Pitchell’s style incorporates key elements of the guitar talents of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix and B.B. King.
Pitchell has performed with music legends like Clarence Clemons, Rick Derringer, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Joe Cocker, Leslie West, J. Geils, Jeff Healy and opened 11 times for B.B. King. Pitchell combines impassioned vocals with an all-out guitar explosion of notes and rhythm. He has drawn rave reviews from fans and critics across the United States and Europe.
Joining Pitchell at StageOne on July 20 is guitar player Johnny A., who is widely regarded as one of America’s finest contemporary guitarists and a winner of the Boston Music Awards’ “Blues Artist of the Year.” In the 1980s, Johnny A. teamed up with legendary J. Geils Band front man Peter Wolf to co-produce an album. That later led him to sign with Steve Vai’s Favored Nations label, which opened the door to an ever-widening circle of gigs with the likes of B.B. King, Robert Cray, Jeff Beck and an appearance at Eric Clapton’s “Crossroads Guitar Festival.”
Fans attending the July 20 show will see Pitchell and Johnny A. dueling back and forth with the members of Texas Flood, bringing a high-end energy mix of rhythm and blues, rock, soul, pop, funk and Texas blues that will delight and entertain.
Doors open on July 20 at 7 p.m., with the show to begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $38 in advance. They are available by contacting the box office at 203-259-1036 or visiting http://www.fairfieldtheatre.org. StageOne is located at 70 Sanford St. in Fairfield.
