Bayani Art Supports Local And International Filipino Groups
Union City, CA (PRWEB) October 18, 2014 -- Bayani Art, a business designed to inspire, enrich and unify local communities from the United States all the way to the Philippines with their art, is now supporting local and international Filipino groups. They attend and support community events and projects local and nation-wide to spread their artwork and culture. They also supported the campaign to change the name of Alvarado Middle School to Itliong Vera Cruz Middle School, the first Filipino-named school in the United States to reflect the school's large Filipino community. Furthermore, they participated in raising funds with a donation event for Project Haiyan which was started by a local student group, Filipino Heritage Studies. Project Haiyan sent aid to those affected by the devastating Typhoon Haiyan.
A portion of Bayani Art's sales went towards a non-profit organization, Balikbayod, located in San Francisco, CA. Together with help from others they organized the building of a school in the most devastated area affected by the typhoon. In addition, they have partnered with the Cartwheel Foundation located in the Philippines, and Bayani Heart. These non-profits were created to help assist the indigenous and local Filipinos. They are also helping the communities in the Philippines by supplying them with educational assets to improve their knowledge by assisting in creating an e-library to save historical documents such as the Katipunan documents for the benefit of future generations.
With Bayani Art's creative team, they produce products that inspire and educate people about the Filipino people's forgotten history. They create artwork of their Bayani (Hero) and their ancient writing script: baybayin. They then incorporate this work and these designs into apparel, caps, prints and other artwork. They collaborate with local and world class artists such as: Gerilya, Malaya Designs, Niki Escobar, Eliseo Silva and many others. They have been invited to Stanford and San Francisco University to speak about their company and message. Bayani Art is proud to produce products that create awareness using the best quality materials. In supporting them, people have an opportunity to be a part of honoring their history and continuing the representation of Filipinos throughout the world.
