Best Drug Rehabilitation Staff & Patients Team Up with Lowe’s to Build Toys for Children in Need
(PRWEB) January 20, 2015 -- On December 28, 2014, staff and patients from Best Drug Rehabilitation teamed up with amazing volunteers from Lowe’s to build toys earmarked for children in need across Mason County, MI.
The inspirational effort was also supported by the Mason County Food Pantry, which helped identify the children who would most benefit from a fun toy during the holiday season. The toys were ultimately handed out – which much surprise, delight, laughter and cheers -- through various Mason County central schools.
“The holidays can be very difficult for anyone who is going through a rough time financially, but for children it can be particularly painful because they don’t have the ability to understand what’s going on, and why their friends and classmates are getting new toys while they’re being left out,” commented Best Drug Rehabilitation’s CEO Per Wickstrom. “It was truly an honor to come together with amazing volunteers from Lowe’s to make the holidays a bit brighter for these kids. And who knows? When they get older, maybe they’ll reflect back on this and will give back to the community in some way.”
