Latest Per Wickstrom Blog Post Highlights 10 Ways to Stop Feeling like a Failure
(PRWEB) October 09, 2014 -- People who struggle with feelings of failure – or know someone who does – should head to http://www.perwickstrom.com right now and check out the latest must-read blog post from Per Wickstrom, which highlights 10 ways they can regain their confidence and elevate their lives to the next level.
“Confidence is a funny thing, in that you don’t realize how crucial it is until it’s missing,” commented Per Wickstrom. “And while nobody is 100 per cent successful at everything – most baseball players in the Hall of Fame failed to get a hit seven times out of ten – the fact is that failing at something, and feeling like a failure, are not synonymous. The former is an objective fact; the latter is a subjective interpretation. It’s my hope that my latest blog post will help people re-ignite their confidence and passion, so they can make a positive difference and a meaningful contribution – whether it’s at home, work, in the community or anywhere else.”
According to Per Wickstrom, 10 effective ways to stop feeling like a failure include:
1. Recognize that, essentially, the only true failure is failing to persist.
2. Start with small successes, and build on them towards bigger ones.
3. Respect feedback and take it under advisement, but avoid negativity and people who want to tell you what the problems are – instead of what the solutions could be.
4. Find a peaceful “inner space” to withdraw to throughout the day (and maybe the night as well), where one can detach from the stresses and anxieties of life, and restore, replenish and re-energize.
5. With a doctor’s approval, start a fitness program that could include anything from gentle walking to rock climbing, and everything in between.
6. Commit to “getting off the grid” every now and then by logging off and unplugging. Technology is a tool to use; not to be used by.
7. Learn more about successful people and discover what they relied on to succeed – and what they avoided. Bookstores, the library and the Internet are loaded with extremely good advice from some of the world’s most successful people.
8. Don’t attach a stigma to making money. Many people feel that the only way they can be helpful is by volunteering their time or talents, and that somehow putting a price tag on their (very limited) time is unethical. This is untrue! Some of the most generous people in the world – such as Bill and Melinda Gates – are among the wealthiest.
9. While staying realistic and not setting impossible goals, it’s important to dream big and be inspired by a large, all-encompassing vision.
10. “Flock together” with like-minded people who are striving for success, and are willing to help others reach their goals.
