New York Wine Events Presents the Big Apple Zinfandel Experience Featuring Top California Wine Producers, June 16 at New York City's Union Square Ballroom
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 06, 2016 -- New York Wine Events is pleased to present its inaugural Big Apple Zinfandel Experience powered by ZAP at NYC’s Union Square Ballroom on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 7pm to 9pm with VIP early admission at 6pm. The event, in association with Zinfandel Advocates & Producers (ZAP), features an array of California’s leading Zinfandel producers pouring over 75 different wines. The event features legendary wineries that have helped make Zinfandel into California’s cult grape, plus rising stars that are carrying the Zinfandel into the future.
During the event, wine lovers can engage in personal conversations with winemakers from Napa Valley, Sonoma County, Central Coast, Lodi, Central Valley, Mendocino and Lake, Sierra Foothills and Southern California while exploring the flavors of Zinfandel blends, single vineyards, and old vine Zinfandels, and discover the distinctive dialects of the Zinfandel growing regions.
Participating wineries include Artezin, Beran, Bella Grace Vineyards, Francis Coppola, Frank Family Vineyards, Fritz, Gamba Vineyards & Winery, Ironstone, Opolo Vineyards, Peachy Canyon, McNab Ridge Winery, Predator, Renwood, Rombauer Vineyards, Seghesio Family Vineyards, Storrs, and Terra d’Oro.
“This distinct varietal engages our imagination and attention like no other, uniting winegrowers, winemakers and wine enthusiasts in the pursuit of the preservation and recognition of Zinfandel as America’s Heritage Wine,” notes Rebecca Robinson, Executive Director of ZAP.
Light catered fare will include bread and cheese selections to accompany the wines. Additionally, select New York area artisanal food companies including Ends Meat, Les Trois Petits Cochons, Li-Lac Chocolates, and The Luscious Little Dessert Company will be sampling their offerings and have full sized items on hand for guests to purchase and enjoy at home.
