Bill Perry, managing shareholder of Gunster Law Firm in West Palm Beach, has been appointed to the University of Florida Law Center Association Inc. board of trustees.
The board serves as the primary support and advisory council for the University’s Levin College of Law. Perry, a 1986 graduate of the law school, has become a widely respected attorney in his field across the state, helping numerous businesses and organizations address complex legal challenges.
“This is an excellent opportunity for me to give back and use what I have learned over my nearly 30 years of legal practice and community work across the state,” said Perry. “I am honored to receive this appointment, to work in an advisory capacity and to join my fellow trustees to support the fundraising efforts of the Law Center Association.”
Perry joined Gunster Law in 1986 and focuses on complex real estate development and finance, condominiums and homeowners’ associations, commercial transactions, construction law and mining law. He has been named one of the Best Lawyers in America for real estate law every year since 2009, and is AV rated through Martindale-Hubbell. He is a member of the state and county bar associations and is involved in the Florida Chamber Foundation, among other community organizations through a variety of volunteer efforts.
With his appointment to the board of trustees, Perry will help the Levin School of Law continue to grow and thrive. He will assist with budgeting, facilitating student mentorship programs and securing financial and volunteer resources for the law school, while guiding the dean on key issues related to students and faculty.
“The Levin College of Law is one of the premier public law schools in the nation, and I am a proud graduate of this program,” said Perry. “I’m pleased to have a chance to help other young legal minds have the same opportunities I had early in my career.”
