Biscoe Insurance Group believes in the Allstate Foundation’s commitment to improving communities across the country through volunteerism and financial aid. The agency is active in supporting numerous local organizations, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas and the Easter Seals-Central Texas. Their latest contribution was inviting the two charities to apply for $1,000 grants from the Allstate Agency Hands in the Community program.
Scott Biscoe, Agency Principal at Biscoe Insurance Group, works with both organizations on a volunteer basis throughout the year. His participation made the nonprofits eligible for the Allstate grants. Scott Biscoe said, “We do all that we can to give back to the local community that makes our business possible. When we learned about the Allstate Agency Hands in the Community grants we knew it was something that we wanted to do for the organizations we support.”
Both the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas and the Easter Seals-Central Texas were recently awarded $1,000 grants from the Allstate Agency Hands in the Community program.
About Allstate Agency Hands in the Community Program
Allstate, their agents and employees together contribute over $29 million a year to charities and community projects. One way they are accomplishing this impressive level of giving is through the Hands in the Community program. The program began in 2003 to provide support for thousands of nonprofits across the U.S. and to acknowledge the Allstate employees and agency owners that volunteer their time.
To receive an Allstate Agency Hands in the Community grant an Allstate volunteer must nominate or invite a nonprofit that they work with to apply for the grant. The Allstate Foundation will then review the application and decide whether to give a $500 or $1,000 grant to the organization based on the availability of funds. Biscoe Insurance Group is active within the program, ensuring the charitable organizations that they work with get a chance to receive the valuable grants.
