BlackbookHR Adds Workplace Diversity Expert Luke Visconti to Board of Directors
Cincinnati, Ohio (PRWEB) January 20, 2015 -- BlackbookHR, a human resources technology company helping organizations create engaged and connected workplaces, announced today that DiversityInc founder and CEO Luke Visconti joined their team as an investor and board member. With this addition, BlackbookHR gains Visconti’s deep expertise in leadership, corporate diversity and veterans’ affairs, which will support the company’s rapid expansion.
In addition to founding the leading global online publication for diversity, and consulting for more than 70 corporate clients, Visconti developed the DiversityInc Top 50, the leading corporate diversity list based on an annual survey and data analysis. Last year more than 1,000 companies participated. Visconti is also the author of DiversityInc’s popular “Ask the White Guy” column.
Before founding DiversityInc in 1997, Visconti served as a naval aviator for more than eight years on active duty and another 18 months in the reserves. Since then, he has dedicated his career to educating businesses about the benefits of building diverse workplaces and helping companies create productive environments for their diverse workforces.
“I have known BlackbookHR CEO Chris Powell for six years as the chief human resources officer of Scripps Networks Interactive, one of the most successful companies I’ve ever seen in the marketplace,” Visconti says. “When he made the move to Blackbook HR, I became very curious and through the process of getting to know the company and founder Chris Ostoich, I became so convinced of their future success that I decided to invest in the company. Their product produces results that I know, through years of diversity management, measurement makes companies successful.”
“Visconti’s investment and counsel will bolster the leadership and diversity expertise BlackbookHR offers to our customers,” Powell says. “With Visconti as part of the team, we have secured an expert pulse on diversity issues that companies are facing, which will help BlackbookHR continue growing quickly and strategically.”
Recently named as one of six “Awesome New Startups for HR” at the 17th annual HR Technology Conference, BlackbookHR is changing the way companies retain employees with software solutions that combine employee surveys, real-time data visualizations and actionable insights on various areas that impact employee engagement, including talent management, leadership development and training, and workflow. BlackbookHR recently launched a new network analysis tool, RNA, which visualizes organizational relationships and information flow within a company. The tool helps leaders anticipate how changing circumstances will impact their organization and discover hidden influencers who are critical to getting work done.
BlackbookHR’s transparent, actionable employee engagement solutions and commitment to building happier, more productive workplaces, as well as its quickly growing client base, were key factors in drawing Visconti to get involved, he says.
