‘NAFCA Honors Hollywood’ Names Odile Koudou Author of ‘The Blessing Legacy’ as a Literary Arts Award-Winner for 2015
Chicago IL (PRWEB) May 13, 2015 -- Although Odile Koudou was born in a small African village, she had big dreams thanks to the seeds of faith lovingly planted in her heart by her father. Those seeds continue to bring forth fruit: The author has been named an “NAFCA Honors Hollywood” award-winner in recognition of her successful and heart-warming book, “The Blessing Legacy” (http://www.theblessinglegacy.com).

In addition to the Literary Arts Award from NAFCA (Nollywood & African Film Critics' Awards), Odile has garnered honors from the World Music & International Film Festival and the Universal Achievement Award. The fifth annual NAFCA awards ceremony takes place Sept. 12 at the historic Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. The program will be aired worldwide. According to organizers, more than 500 million are expected to view the event.
Other NAFCA award winners for 2015 include: Dr. Kole Odutola, author and lecturer; Wole Soyinka, Nobel Prize winner, playwright; and, Dr. Princess Fumi S. Hancock, author and filmmaker.
On the heels of the NAFCA news, Odile has announced that WJZ-TV, the CBS affiliate in Baltimore, is airing an inspiration commercial about “The Blessing Legacy.” It can be viewed online at http://wjzcreative.com/book.
The video is timely, given the growing interest for turning her book of faith into a family friendly feature film.
“I think it would make a very good feel-good movie,” said her veteran agent William Kerwin.
Actor and writer Philip Kroopf, who worked on the script, agrees, noting that, “A true faith story at this point in time is very valuable.”
The NAFCA award has motivated Odile all the more:
“My vision is to give hope for the hopeless—especially the woman, the African woman,” she said, adding that, “There is hope when you believe in God.”
