Bookmasters, I.B. Tauris sign distribution agreement
Ashland, Ohio (PRWEB) November 13, 2014 -- Bookmasters (http://www.bookmasters.com/), one of the largest providers of integrated book publishing services in the U.S., has signed an agreement with I.B. Tauris (http://www.ibtauris.com/) to provide sales, distribution, and fulfillment in the U.S. and Canada for their internationally-renowned list of trade and academic titles.
I.B. Tauris is a leading British independent non-fiction publisher. Established in 1983, I.B. Tauris publishes more than 300 new titles each year and boasts a backlist of more than 2,700 titles. In addition, they are internationally recognized for the exceptional quality of their titles in genres that include the humanities, current affairs, popular history, and travel.
Bookmasters will begin distributing I.B. Tauris’ complete catalog of titles on February 1, 2015.
Marketing and publicity in the U.S. will be managed from I.B. Tauris’ company headquarters in London.
“Bookmasters is the perfect local sales and fulfillment partner on the ground in North America,” said Paul Davighi, sales and marketing director at I.B. Tauris. “Bookmasters’ close links to Baker & Taylor, one of the largest customers for our books in the world, gives it tremendous strength in the market.”
“I.B. Tauris was previously distributed by Palgrave Macmillan in North America,” added Jonathan McDonnell, managing director at I.B. Tauris. “The next step for a company our size has traditionally been to open offices on the East Coast, but this really makes less sense in this day and age. We can now facilitate more direct relationships with our North American authors and partners from the UK, just as we do in other parts of the world.”
“Bookmasters is truly honored to partner with one of the most exceptional publishers in the world,” said Ken Fultz, general manager at Bookmasters. “The superior quality of I.B. Tauris, its authors, and its titles’ subject matter is second to none and the Bookmasters team looks forward to expanding I.B. Tauris’ notability in North America.”
