Executive Director of IOFM Announces CAPP or CAPA Transfer Opportunity at Opening Ceremony of Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay Conference and Expo
Portland, ME (PRWEB) October 26, 2016 -- With the Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay Conference and Expo coming to a successful close, The Institute of Finance and Management’s (IOFM) Executive Director, Brian Cuthbert, announced to over 800 in attendance the decision to allow Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) or Certified Accounts Payable Associate (CAPA) with active certification the opportunity to transfer into the equivalent program offered by IOFM - further cementing their position as the leading provider of training, education and certification programs for financial operation professionals worldwide.
Many in attendance agreed with Mr. Cuthbert whom stated “IOFM has a responsibility to the financial operations community and at this point we’ve had a significant number of professionals with active CAPP and CAPA designations come to us with concerns that their hard work and commitment, not to mention investment, will be for naught.” He continued by stating, “We feel we have an obligation to this community to step in and provide them the support they require, and certainly deserve.”
By transferring to IOFM’s AP certification program practitioners with active CAPP and CAPA certifications have access to a wide range of training, education and certification programs, events and resources so they’re able to maintain their certification and advance their career. With IOFM waiving the recertification fee for practitioners with an active CAPP certification to become Accredited Payables Manager (APM) certified, and for practitioners with an active CAPA certification to become Accredited Payables Specialist (APS) certified. After their APM or APS certification becomes effective, practitioners will follow IOFM certification guidelines and have 12 months to maintain 15 continuing education units (CEUs) from their date of acceptance into their transferred program.
IOFM’s certification programs define the standard of excellence in the financial operations community and with more than 20,000 practitioners worldwide who have become certified by IOFM, it is the largest and fastest-growing certification program of its kind.
