CBD College Announces New Physical Therapist Assistant Program Launching in April 2014 Via LAD Solutions
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 26, 2014 -- CBD College has announced a brand new Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program via LAD Solutions. The opening for enrollment starts in late April 2014. This Associate Degree program offers state-of-the-art laboratory facilities as well as hands-on experience to ensure the student is prepared for the challenges and rewards of a career as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Physical Therapist Assistants are in increasingly high demand across the United States, and CBD College is ready to assist students in gaining those jobs, by providing a solid foundation in preparation for the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) as well as California Law Examination (CLE). This is an Associate of Applied Science Degree.
This new program provides CBD College students with classroom lecture and theory, as well as laboratory practice, and experience in the clinical environment, to ensure they are fully prepared for a safe and capable, entry-level outset into an exciting career. Hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, clinics, and other health care settings all offer opportunities to assist licensed Physical Therapists in providing services to patients with a variety of needs, function levels and any other health conditions.
Physical Therapist Assistants assist Physical Therapists in all areas of therapy, from simple muscle massage to long-term reparative therapy for catastrophic combat injuries, From infants (i.e., helping developing muscle strength in musculoskeletal problems caused by conditions such as cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis or scoliosis as well as traumatic injuries or movement disorders caused by premature births) through senior citizens, helping with any mobility problems or helping in recovering from a stroke or any other trauma. As the population ages, more and more individuals will be needing this type of treatment. The primary responsibility of the PTA is to administer treatment plans developed for each individual patient by the Physical Therapist, as well as to measure progress and keep the Physical Therapist informed of all progress or of any problems.
Since 1982, CBD College has become one of Los Angeles’ best resources for several different vocational training and career advising programs and services. CBD is very proud of the diversity of their students. As the college and the professional staff grew, the college became more structured, CBD received course approval from the state and in 1996, CBD College became a non-profit public benefit organization.
With enrollment beginning in April 2014, a variety of financial aid options, and help with job placement after graduation, CBD College and the dedicated faculty and staff are happy to welcome all qualified applicants (HS diploma or GED).
