Cobb Systems Group Wins Montgomery County Innovation Network Company of the Year
Rockville, MD (PRWEB) June 10, 2014 -- Cobb Systems Group (CSG) announced today that it received the award for Montgomery County Innovation Network Company of the Year, along with a congressional citation, at the county’s second annual small business awards luncheon held at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center on May 9. The event was organized to honor the important contributions made by the 33,000+ county businesses considered to be small businesses and specifically to acknowledge important contributions made by one exemplary business in each of 11 distinct categories. The Montgomery County Department of Economic Development, under the leadership of its Director Steve Silverman, hosted the event, which was also attended by Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett, President of the Montgomery County Council Craig Rice, and U.S. Small Business Administration District Director Antonio Doss, among others.
CSG is a minority-owned talent and technology innovation firm that seeded and grew its vision within the incubation infrastructure of the Montgomery County Business Innovation Network. Chief among its innovations is ProForm™ — a patented talent-matching and analytics platform. ProForm™ allows employers to capture the way that their highest performing workers solve problems and use those thought patterns to find new workers who think in similar ways. Using ProForm™ employers consider all candidates capable of doing a job, not just those candidates who happen to incorporate the “right” keywords into their resumes. Workers brand themselves on the platform by re-casting traditional resume content into interactive pitchbooks with visual elements and by completing exercises that demonstrate their ability to do given jobs – even jobs that they have never actually done. CSG’s mission is to create a more efficient talent market in which Actions Speak Louder Than Keywords™ and employers and workers gain maximum value from every job opportunity.
“CSG is thrilled to be recognized with this award,” said Wayne Cobb, President and CEO, “and we specifically want to thank Montgomery County, its elected officials, and public workers; Rockville Economic Development, Inc. (REDI); and the Business Innovation Network; along with our business partners, many of whom are early adopters of our talent paradigm.”
CSG also provides C-level and professional consulting, staffing, and software engineering solutions to firms within the financial services, healthcare, earth sciences, gaming, and government sectors. Significant among these services is CSG’s ABOT (analyze-build-operate-transfer) model in which CSG leverages skilled resources and high impact tools to analyze business, talent, and technology needs; casts those needs into a program of change, which it implements; runs the changed environment; and then transfers the environment (business model, people, and technology) with supporting infrastructure to its clients. This year, CSG will pursue additional opportunities for all of its offerings within the public sector.
