Carousel Industries, a leader in managed services, video solutions, data and visual communications, announced that AA-ISP recognized Kelly Lichtenberger as part of the AA-ISP Leadership Summit 2015 at an awards banquet held last month at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago.

Lichtenberger, who is currently Vice President of Inside Sales at Carousel Industries, began her career in inside sales 25 years ago. As her career has progressed, she has continually relied on self-determination and motivation, while encouraging team support and cultivating a winning atmosphere: "To be truly successful in inside sales, you need to always look for the opportunity, versus focusing on the obligation," she says. "Each field representative and campaign has different expectations to get a good outcome. I try to push the team to be the best they can be and help get them motivated to cross the finish line."

According to Lichtenberger, there are now more than 70 universities in the United States that have sales degree programs, largely because inside sales positions are outpacing field positions due to cloud technologies and the decrease in ASPs. Carousel Industries is working directly with some of these universities and colleges to recruit its inside sales talent.

In addition, Carousel runs an Executive Sales Development Program which selects graduates from top universities for an 18-24 month development program (in Hartford, CT) designed to train and mentor individuals to become successful sales professionals. At the conclusion of this program, each individual will have the opportunity to relocate as an Outside Sales Account Executive. Carousel will be adding 40 of the top graduates from all over the country to this program before October.
