The American Lung Association also funds investigator-initiated research grants on lung cancer and other lung diseases, like COPD and asthma. In fact, the Lung Association has doubled its investment in lung cancer research in the past two years and has announced the new LUNG FORCE Research Innovation Project: Lung Cancer in Women Award, to be awarded beginning in July 2016.
