I hope that through my brother Byron's story, I can help inspire others from all over the country, to get out and TRI for someone they know who can't.
Idaho Falls, Idaho (PRWEB) June 30, 2015
Carmus Productions, LLC announces today TRI-N 5K Race to join the Carmus Jamboree 2015 Festival, as being one of 30 events that are helping charities at this venue.
TRI-N is a non-profit foundation that motivates people to do something physically challenging, while raising money for someone who physically cannot, due to unfortunate circumstances.
Starting July 16th, participants will run/walk, bike, or swim 30 miles in 30 days, in honor of someone they know who cannot. The individuals whom we TRI (run/walk, bike, or swim) for, are called our heroes. There is a $10 registration fee for TRI-N. This registration fee will give participants a t-shirt, mile-tracker card, a wristband, and will nominate a hero to be honored at the 5K. http://www.tri-n.org
Tri-N Founder, Bethany Walters explains the source of her passion, "My amazing brother Byron inspired me to start this foundation. He's been bound to his wheelchair since he got in a car accident when he was 10 years old. That's 30 years ago. He has taught me through his example to be grateful for what I have and for what I am capable of doing. I'm sure there's not a day that goes by that he doesn't long to be able to use his legs and body to run or swim or ride a bike like he used to. Because he can't do those things, I decided to get out and do those things in honor of him. Because I CAN!"
Bethany continues with her vision in five years, "I hope that through my brother Byron's story, I can help inspire others from all over the country, to get out and TRI for someone they know who can't. It's my dream to hold mini triathlons and 5K's all across the country and donate the proceeds to people with special needs, our heroes."
Christine Campbell, Carmus Productions Promotor states, "We are excited for TRI-N to be a part of Carmus Jamboree 2015. Bethany's passion to make a positive difference in the world for those who are not physically able to participate in outdoor events, is absolutely catchy! We have a wonderful venue for people to travel here, join us in Idaho, and run in the final TRI-N 5K race at Carmus Jamboree. There is enough room for thousands of people to gather at our event!"
