Court Denies Motion to Dismiss Triumph Cruise Passenger Claim Against Carnival Corporation
Miami, FL (PRWEB) May 20, 2014 -- The Law Offices of Jason Turchin today announces that Carnival Corporation's Motion to Dismiss a lawsuit brought by a passenger on the Carnival Triumph has been denied, according to a recent Order filed in the case. Carnival Corporation has been ordered to answer the lawsuit, according to the Order. The case, Maxey v. Carnival Corporation, was brought by the passenger in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division, Case No. 13-24379-Civ-COOKE/TORRES.
"We are pleased with the Court's ruling and expect Carnival Corporation to answer the lawsuit so the case can proceed on its merits," stated Jason Turchin, attorney for the injured passenger. "We will continue to fight for the rights of our client," adds Turchin.
According to the Southern and Middle District of Florida's court filings, Jason Turchin represents many injured cruise passengers in claims against Carnival Corporation, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, Disney Cruise Lines, and Norwegian. "Cruise passengers should be aware that many passenger tickets contain a provision which requires their claims or lawsuits to be brought in a specific court," cautions Turchin. "Carnival, for example, often requires any claims against them to be brought in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division, according to a recent cruise passenger ticket," Turchin adds.
