Johnny Depp bought a dilapidated French village near St Tropez in 2001 and has spent millions to renovate it. He has recently put it on the market for $26 million. In addition to a 4,300-square foot main home with a pirate-themed room, the compound includes a church, guest cottages, workshop and 37 acres.    

“Queen Elizabeth Buys New York Condo”
Although it is highly unlikely that Queen Elizabeth will be moving to New York City any time soon, she recently purchased a $7.9 million condo at New York's 50 United Nations Plaza. Her new home has 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths and about 3,000 square feet.

“Home Sale Stats Best Since 2006”
Trending along with improved employment figures, housing statistics are at their best level since the real estate boom year 2006. Homes are selling faster and for more money with median prices up 9 percent in the last year. Experts predict that 2015 home sales could reach almost 6 million which would be close to 2006 levels.

“Donald Trump's Real Estate World”
Donald Trump is fond of publicizing his name and wealth. However his claim at his recent announcement as the GOP presidential candidate that he is worth almost $9 billion might be an exaggeration. Several financial analysts estimate that Trump's worth is closer to $4 billion.

“Nordstrom Tower Will Be U.S. Tallest”
A new building on New York City's West 57th Street will be the tallest building in the United States. The project by Extell Developments will house Nordstrom department store on the lower floors and luxury condominiums on the higher floors. The building's height will be 1,521 feet.

“Florida Home Prices Continue To Rise”
Florida homes are selling faster and for more money. The median sale price for Florida single-family existing homes increased to $200,000, up 11.1 percent since May, 2014. Florida condo prices increased 9.7 percent to $159,000. Florida homes are also spending less time on the market – only 49 days for single-family homes and 52 days for condos. Sunshine State home prices have increased for 42 consecutive months.

“New York's $250 Million Penthouse”
Astronomical real estate prices in New York City may be heading even higher. Rumors are that a Qatari billionaire is close to purchasing several pre-construction apartments at 220 Central Park South that he would combine into one huge penthouse. The rumored price is $250 million which would more than double the previous New York record of $100.5 million at One57 that was set in January.

“Phil Collins Buys J-Lo's Miami Mansion”
A 1929 Miami mansion that was once owned by Jennifer Lopez recently sold to musician Phil Collins. Collins paid $33 million for the 12,183-square-foot home on Biscayne Bay with seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. J-Lo sold the home in 2005 for $13.9 million.
