CenterVue releases new software for the DRS fundus camera and MAIA microperimeter
(PRWEB UK) 16 May 2014 -- CenterVue releases new software for the DRS fundus camera and MAIA microperimeter.
Haag-Streit UK (HS-UK), the leading manufacturer and distributor of gold-standard optometry and ophthalmic equipment, is pleased to announce new software releases from CenterVue for the DRS fundus camera and MAIA micropermeter.
CenterVue’s new software release v2.3.0 for the DRS fundus camera includes the new ‘High Uniformity’ image processing strategy. It provides; optimised image exposure in subjects with hyper-pigmented or hypo-pigmented retinas and increased uniform image brightness, for better results on subjects closer to the minimum pupil size. ‘High Uniformity’ also allows the user to achieve better image quality in the peripheral fields.
This new software release is only available for the DRS Classic and DRS Plus models with serial numbers greater than 0170.
The new MAIA software v2.0.0 boasts some exciting new features, including semi-automatic eye alignment, push-button presence detection and the option to import/export projection grids. This software is only available for the MAIA2 model, which was released in 2013.
Jacqui Kenyon, HS-UK’s CenterVue Product Manager, said, “The new DRS software release brings a number of new features to the DRS which increase the overall quality of the images. The optimised image exposure will allow finer detail to be detected and smaller features, such as uniform image brightness, will work perfectly together to create better overall results for the user.”
Jacqui continued, “The new semi-automatic alignment feature is an exciting new development to the MAIA microperimeter. In addition, the new software release enables the import and export of projection grids and there is now no limitation to the number of custom grids that can be stored. These new features will be very beneficial to existing MAIA users."
