As we continue to pursue a strategy that capitalizes on our strength in integrating and distributing data and content for the K-12 education sector, all three bring depth and capability in their respective fields.

Certica Solutions(Certica), a provider of K-12 data management software and education content solutions, today announced that the company has appointed three additional executives to its leadership team. The appointments follow Certica’s expansion earlier this year, when the company acquired the Formative Assessment Item Bank™ (FAIB) from the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) and formed two lines of business: Education Content Products, including the Formative Assessment Item Bank and a related content management application; and Data and Compliance Solutions, comprising the company’s flagship Certify™ K-12 data integrity software application and the Certify Rule Libraries™.

Linda Bradshaw has been appointed vice president, Education Content Products. She was director of the Formative Assessment Item Bank at NWEA and previously served as director of educational assessment products at the Educational Testing Service (ETS) and Riverside Publishing. With over 25 years of learning assessment and product development experience, Bradshaw leads a team of content experts who continue to expand and enrich the Formative Assessment Item Bank which currently contains over 83,600 test items. The Item Bank is offered to educators via a broad network of education technology and assessment partners.

Ken Hale has joined the company as chief financial officer, bringing over 30 years of financial and operations management experience from the technology sector. Before joining Certica, Hale served as chief financial officer at IMN, a digital marketing services provider, and held executive positions at GlassHouse, Wheelhouse Corporation, NaviSite and Ernst and Young. At Certica, Hale oversees finance, investor relations, human resources and business operations.

Peter Tweed has been named vice president, Software Products. Tweed has an extensive background in SaaS business operations, product development and information technology. He was director of engineering at Accruent prior to joining Certica and held roles as practice area lead at Slalom Consulting and consulting manager at Magenic Technologies. At Certica, Tweed manages a team responsible for software development, product management, SaaS operations and information technology.

Said Mark Rankovic, Certica’s chief executive officer, “we are thrilled to welcome Linda, Ken and Peter to Certica and to our leadership team. As we continue to pursue a strategy that capitalizes on our strength in integrating and distributing data and content for the K-12 education sector, all three bring depth and capability in their respective fields that will be crucial in achieving the next stages of growth.”
