SIG and Alsbridge team up to launch awards program honoring the best examples of automation in action

These awards celebrate the innovations and disruptive technologies that are advancing the sourcing and outsourcing industry.

SIG, the premier membership organization for sourcing, procurement and outsourcing executives, and Alsbridge, Inc., a global sourcing, benchmarking and transformation advisory firm, today announce the launch of the Challenge the Future awards, a unique conference and awards program designed to showcase how forward-thinking companies are using automation and technology to disrupt and challenge the future of work.

This inaugural event takes place February 2-3, 2017 in London, UK with keynote speakers, breakout sessions and awards presentations. This year’s categories include:

  • Challenge the Future Award
  • Best Outcome Delivered through Automation Award
  • Transformational Change Award
  • Most Promising Pilot Award
  • Best Contribution to Humanity by Robots Award
  • Automation Professional Award

The finalists will be selected by a prestigious panel that includes:

  • Lee Coulter, CEO, Ascension Shared Services
  • Mary Lacity, Visiting Professor, London School of Economics
  • Haitao Qi, CEO, Devott Co. Ltd., and CHNsourcing.com
  • John Sculley, former CEO, Apple and PepsiCo
  • Richard Sykes, Partner, Executive Advisory Programme, Bloor

In addition, the event will include on-site awards to be determined by event attendees.

“These awards celebrate the innovations and disruptive technologies that are advancing the sourcing and outsourcing industry,” says Dawn Tiura, SIG CEO and President. “Alsbridge has been showcasing expertise in Robotics Process Automation for many years. We are thrilled to be partnering with them on this awards program, which we believe will provide an unparalleled experience for all who participate.”

“Alsbridge’s ‘Challenge the Future’ tagline reflects our commitment to our clients to ask ‘how can this be done better?’ rather than settling for the status quo,” adds Chip Wagner, Alsbridge CEO. “These awards validate that commitment and we couldn’t think of a better partner than SIG—who puts on some of the best events in the industry.”

Specific details about the nomination process, selection criteria and entry requirements will be available and distributed in early August 2016.
