The House Hunters episode focuses on the search for a 1920’s historic home in the Royal Oak area of Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. The couple looking had a very tight schedule, giving their REATOR®, Christa Buchanan one week to find a house, get an offer accepted and have the inspection take place. “We had very little time to find the right fit, especially in a market in which homes were getting multiple offers and selling in one day,” said Christa. “I am thrilled we found the right place for my clients and what a pleasure to have had been part of such a successful transaction. All parties involved walked away happy with the results.”
Christa Buchanan is a full service agent having recently celebrated her first year as a REALTOR®. With over nine years’ experience in the metro Detroit real estate industry and being a resident of the area, Christa Buchanan knows the area's real estate market inside and out and can quickly identify which properties meet clients' needs. Also, as a resident, she can answer any questions about neighborhoods, schools, market conditions and trends, zoning regulations and more.
“I advise my clients on how to enhance their home to get the best return, set the best price to get the most money possible in the market, coordinate between all parties, help with cleaning, light repairs, staging and pretty much anything they may need help with,” said Ms. Buchanan.
Christa achieved "Rising Star Award" status within her first six months as an agent, an award going to new agents who sell at least $1 million in their first year. In addition, she was recently the recipient of a Gold Award for her 2013 work, awarded to agents who sell between $2 million and $4 million.
In addition to serving the real estate needs of Detroit, Christa is happy to announce she donates a portion of each sale to the Real Estate One Charitable Foundation, which supports the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, The Alzheimer's Association, Special Olympics of Michigan and The National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She also supports the Michigan Humane Society and volunteers to play with rescue dogs. On March 25, 2014, Christa participated in a group that broke the Forgotten Harvest record for the amount of bell peppers processed, chopped and packaged. The previous record in a 3 hour shift was 400 pounds of peppers and her group packaged just over 1,400 pounds.
