French Scientologists Say a Moral Life is "Much Cooler"
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 20, 2013 -- Volunteers from Scientology Churches of Paris have a message for their city: Life is "much cooler" when it is based on the moral principles expressed in The Way to Happiness, a nonreligious commonsense moral code.
Music videos, video games and other forms of entertainment often convey the message that "cool" means living an extravagant and dissolute life. The Way to Happiness dispels that myth and volunteers from the Churches of Scientology in Paris reached out to youth in Saint Denis November 2 to let them know this is far from true.
The volunteers set up a booth flanked by twelve-foot cartoons of trendy teens bearing the slogan "Plus Cool la Vie!" ("A cooler life"). Throughout the day they met and talked to people of all ages and gave them copies of The Way to Happiness, easily recognized by the "Plus Cool La Vie" cartoons on the cover.
According to The Way to Happiness, "Trying to survive in a chaotic, dishonest and generally immoral society is difficult. Any individual or group seeks to obtain from life what pleasure and freedom from pain they can. Your own survival can be threatened by the bad actions of others around you…. You are important to people. You are listened to. You can influence others. The happiness or unhappiness of others you could name is important to you. Without too much trouble, using this book, you can help them survive and live happier lives."
The Way to Happiness was written in 1981 by author, humanitarian and Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard. Immensely popular since its first publication, more than 109 million copies have been distributed in 111 languages in 209 countries, territories and dependencies.
The Church of Scientology and its members are proud to share the tools for happier living contained in The Way to Happiness with all who also have the goal of a better world. For more information, visit http://www.Scientology.org/thewaytohappiness.
