Kevin Sinnott, The Real Mr. Coffee, Goes to Washington

He is Kevin Sinnott, Coffee Kevin on Twitter, author of The Art and Craft of Coffee; An Enthusiasts Guide to Selecting, Roasting and Brewing and is founder of Coffee Con, the only coffee conference for consumers. He is joining with the National Coffee Association to brew-up some great coffee to serve to Congress Wednesday morning. Kevin is happy to announce that the NCA will be brewing, with the help of a National Barista Champion, with the Chemex brewer, his all time favorite method. He is bringing several pounds of that great American coffee, Kona, roasted by J. Martinez & Company of Atlanta.
Kevin with be talking about coffee as a way to bring people together and the perfect beverage to accomplish goals. He takes his coffee very seriously, even hand-brewing in a Chemex at 5:00 am before catching his flight from Chicago to DC. While serious about brewing his personal motto is “Have coffee the way you like it. Coffee like democracy is about personal freedom,” declared Sinnott.
Coffee on The Hill is the National Coffee Associations biennial congressional coffee event. The NCA's core purpose is to champion the well-being of the U.S. coffee industry within the context of the world coffee community. The event is sponsored by S&D Coffee Tea and BUNN with participation from the Green Coffee Association, the Pacific Coast Coffee Association and The Specialty Coffee Association of America.
