Lane End Conference Centre Marks 45th Anniversary with Customer Loyalty Scheme
High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (PRWEB UK) 27 February 2014 -- Lane End Conference Centre celebrates its 45th anniversary this year. To kick start celebrations it has launched a new loyalty scheme to reward advocates of the popular Buckinghamshire training venue.
Founded in 1969, Lane End Conference Centre was one of the first purpose-built, dedicated conference and training centres in the UK.
Fast forward 45 years and Lane End continues to fulfill a unique role in the marketplace, offering outstanding residential conference facilities and experiential learning to companies worldwide.
Mike Gough, Operations Director at Lane End Conference Centre, said: “Over the past 45 years Lane End has hosted an estimated 20,000 events and we are delighted to have reached this milestone. As an independently owned and run company we have a lot of strengths to be proud of.
“As well as remaining committed to the centre’s original objective of delivering first class, dedicated training facilities and learning support, we continue to listen to and learn from customer feedback.
“This is crucial in determining our clients’ needs and has helped build a strong and loyal, repeat customer base - some of whom have been holding events at Lane End for over 20 years.”
As part of its 45th anniversary celebrations, the specialist training centre has rolled out a customer advocacy programme.
The scheme is designed to recognise and reward visitors who recommend Lane End Conference Centre to colleagues and business contacts.
Each time an event goes ahead as a direct result of a recommendation, the referee receives a £100 voucher to spend at amazon.com.
To enroll, visitors to the centre need to register online at: http://www.lane-end-conferences.co.uk/Lane-End-Loyalty.html
The conference centre near High Wycombe has a long association with Lane End village.
Originally founded in 1969 as Wycombe Centre for Management Studies, the 26-acre site was formerly Wycombe Court School - a girl’s boarding school, which counted British actress Julie Christie amongst its pupils.
Following the school’s closure in 1965 and subsequent demolition four years later, construction began on the new residential conference centre.
The brainchild of Professor William Barry, Lane End Conference Centre is designed and built to afford visitors maximum concentration and privacy.
Set in private parkland, the site comprises five self-contained buildings, each equipped with its own conference suites and break-out meeting rooms.
Three of the five buildings - Wycombe Court, Wycombe Hall and Wycombe Lodge – also house dining rooms, coffee lounges and overnight accommodation for 104 guests.
To complement the work environment, the centre also offers an extensive range of leisure amenities, including a Par 3 golf course and two tennis courts.
Although the original layout of the buildings remains, the interior and exterior have undergone significant refurbishment in recent years.
Since 2011 extensive construction work has been carried out, including full renovation of all conference suites, lounge and dining areas, structural upgrades to 20 bedrooms and the addition of a spacious conservatory dining room and outdoor deck.
A further round of improvements is planned for 2014, including a new double storey, state-of-the-art fitness and leisure centre.
Heni Fourie, Sales and Marketing Manager at the Bucks training venue, said: “We are thrilled to mark 45 years of successful business.
“One of the main reasons Lane End continues to thrive, even under difficult trading conditions, is our commitment to driving up standards. From our customer service to our conference catering, we work exceptionally hard to create the ultimate conference experience.”
