2014 Performances Highlight Costa Mesa’s City of the Arts Status
Costa Mesa, CA (PRWEB) March 17, 2014 -- Theater and stage aficionados will again pack the hallways of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California in January 2014. The center will feature a diverse range of classical music performances and one-week runs of popular Broadway musicals Beauty and the Beast and Chicago. Costa Mesa real estate specialist Christine Donovan reports that these are just some of the things to look forward to on the city’s events calendar next year.
The Segerstrom Center for the Arts is a renowned performing arts complex in Costa Mesa, and includes the 3,000-seat Segerstrom Hall opera house and 2,000-seat Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Through the years, it has brought award-winning stage musicals, plays, concerts and dance performances to Costa Mesa, placing it on the map as one of the noteworthy performing arts venues in the Southern California region.
“Our city has become quite the center of culture in the Orange County area, thanks to institutions like The Segerstrom Center for the Arts,” says Donovan, who’s an expert in Huntington Beach real estate as well. “The Center’s unfailing commitment to the performing arts, together with our home-grown Tony Award winners, South Coast Repertory, has truly made Costa Mesa into a ‘City of the Arts.’”
A local resident whose family has lived in the Orange County Coastal area for over five decades, Christine Donovan is also a licensed California attorney aside from being an experienced real estate broker. As part of the Donovan Blatt Team, she specializes in Costa Mesa homes for sale, Newport Beach real estate and other coastal Orange County properties.
“I’ve lived here all my life, and have seen Costa Mesa evolve into one of the leading business and cultural centers in Orange County,” says Donovan. “Aside from being the place to go for arts and culture, there’s always plenty to do here, including shopping at the South Coast Plaza, which is considered to be one of the largest shopping centers in the West Coast and contains the highest concentration of retail brands in the country,” she adds.
